Ennerdale School team, the 'Ennerdale Engineers' win the regional competition
The big news of the week is our amazing success at the Cumbrian First Lego League Competition on Thursday. To put it simply – we won! The children in the team put in a magnificent performance on the day not only in the actual robot games but also with their presentation and the way they answered the judges questions on their core values, how they designed their robot and what they did to overcome obstacles and challenges. Although the team on the day take the plaudits, everyone who got involved with the after school club and helped with the research for the project also deserve a lot of credit for their hard work. As a result of winning our regional tournament we will now be heading off to the National Finals at Loughborough University in a couple of weeks. We have also been invited to visit James Fisher Nuclear laboratories and will be taking all of Year 5 and 6 to have a look round this very exciting workplace.
