Our Church School

We are very proud to be a Church of England School where we try our very best to live our lives through the teachings of Jesus. Our school mission statement, "As one school family, we grow in God's light; sharing love, kindness and wisdom to make a positive impact on the world" is at the heart of our school. Rooted in the Gospel passage, "You are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14) we strive to flourish in Jesus' teaching that as his disciples we each have unique and illuminating spiritual qualities that help us be positive role models and make a lasting, positive impact on the world. |

Inspired by our mission statement, and Gospel teachings, our core school values are: love, kindness, wisdom and positivity and we try to live our lives daily, both inside and outside of school following these values. |

Collective Worship: We have daily acts of Collective Worship, where each half-term we explore a different Christian value. Reverend Ian leads Collective Worship with us every fortnight. This half-term we have also began to focus on 'Heroes of Hope', a collection of stories about inspiring Christians from across the world. Hearing these stories helps us recognise how, by following the examples Jesus, and just like the 'Heroes of Hope' we can be inspiring and have a positive impact on the world if we set our minds to it. |

Our School as a Church School: Our school is a part of the Diocese of Carlisle. The church in Ennerdale Bridge is St. Mary's and we regularly attend to celebrate the key festivals and celebrations in the churches calendar. |
