School Evaluation and School Development
At Ennerdale CE Primary School, our vision and values are rooted in our Christian foundation. We believe every child is uniquely created in the image of God, and we are committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. In this light, our approach to school self-evaluation and development planning is guided by our Christian ethos and our desire to provide a loving, inclusive, and high-quality education for all.
At Ennerdale CE Primary School, self-evaluation and development planning are not one-off tasks but ongoing journeys. With God's guidance, we seek to serve our children and community faithfully, ensuring that every step we take is in line with our mission to educate, nurture, and inspire.
School Self Evaluation (SEF)
School self-evaluation is an essential process that allows us to reflect prayerfully and thoughtfully on all areas of school life. It is a time to give thanks for what is going well and to discern where we can grow and develop, always keeping our children at the heart of what we do.
Our self-evaluation considers:
-
Teaching and learning quality across the curriculum.
-
Pupil outcomes, progress, and personal development.
-
The school environment, culture, and Christian distinctiveness.
-
Feedback from pupils, parents, staff, governors, and the wider community.
We aim to identify both our strengths and the areas where God may be calling us to improve. This reflective practice ensures that we continually strive to fulfil our Christian vision.
School Improvement Planning (SIP)
Following self-evaluation, we engage in purposeful and prayerful planning to build on our strengths and address areas for development. Our School Improvement Plan sets a clear course for improvement, rooted in our Christian values of love, respect, and hope.
This process includes:
-
Setting measurable and meaningful goals aligned with our Christian vision.
-
Creating targeted action plans to support improvement.
-
Allocating time, resources, and support to ensure plans are achievable.
-
Reviewing progress regularly and adjusting where needed.
Our school development planning is not just about academic improvement, but about growing a flourishing school community where every child is encouraged to shine and develop their God-given potential.
